ABOUT
The primary image here is of a beautiful Japanese Flowering Cherry tree (Prunus Serrulata) including images of the tree from a side view and another of the petals that have fallen below. This type of Cherry Tree is native to Japan and is anthropogenic meaning it lives in human developed areas and at the edge of forests but the leaves, stems, and seeds are toxic to pets like cats, dogs, and horses.
There’s also ATCG lettering and hexagonal patterns embedded in the image referencing DNA and human made chemicals. The overall effect is to represent the beauty of nature as it is today including human impacts and how people experience the world via technology.
