Flowering Dogwood

Flowering Dogwood

from the series Recent Work, 2025, Limited Edition

ABOUT

A photo collage comprised of multiple photos and graphic lines. The primary image is a flowering dogwood (Cornus florida) photographed in the Arnold Arboretum a Harvard research center designed by Frederick Law Olmsted in Jamaica Plain MA.

The image is part of the series Anthropocene and the horizontal lines reference technology used in TVs where an electron beam draws the image line by line.

I’m inspired by these elegant trees that have flower petals that fall like snow in the spring. The second image (accessible by clicking the right arrow) is of flowering tree petals on a grave in the Mount Auburn Cemetery.
